IMR 4064 Powder

Postby Grindl » Fri Jan 13, 2017 1:13 pm

Has anyone done any load development with IMR 4064 powder ? I've seen several articles on this powder , and it's use by L/R shooters with very good results . Would like to hear your thoughts on this . Thanks .

I haven't used this particular powder, but I used IMR-4320, both are very close, as far as burning rate concerns...
According to my Reloading Manual, IMR 4064 is good with Sierra #2275 .308" 175 gr. HPBT MatchKing C.O.A.L. 3.000" (7.62x54R)
40.4gr Minumum for (2200 FPS)., 47.1gr Max for (2500 FPS).
Barrel length 20", twist 1x10"
Primer Remington 9 1/2
Case Lapua, Trim-to Length: 2.105"
One more thing, it is one of the slowest powders.
