Did you find the hydro stone locally or did you have to order online?

I found it locally but I got a huge bag of it for 35 bucks if you want some let me know it doesnt take a whole lot to do the barrel with it
Dont throw out your Berdan primed cartridges they can be reloaded.....go to www.russianreloads.com to see how.

For the barrel, did you leave it full length or what length did you cut it to?

the Barrel was at the standard 20 inch length. it was an M44 carbine.

Thanks I appreciate it. Im really proud of it and that I literally did all the work myself and no gunsmith laid their hands on it.

just do it. embrace the project and jump in and learn to do what ever task you are setting out to do.
